WHo We ARe
Hi! I'm Erin, a pediatric Occupational Therapist who founded Huddlewood with a clear vision: to transform the early childhood journey for both children and their parents.
My years in Early Intervention revealed a critical gap—while the early years are filled with both wonder and challenges, parents often struggle to find practical, trustworthy resources to support their child's development. This insight became the foundation for Huddlewood, a space where professional expertise meets real-world parenting.
At Huddlewood, everything we offer stems from a simple philosophy: development thrives through connection. Whether through our evidence-based resources, practical strategies, or supportive guidance, I'm committed to making developmental support both accessible and implementable in your daily life.
Our nature-based groups represent the perfect intersection of my passions. As research shows outdoor play steadily declining across generations, these guided sessions reconnect children with the natural world while building crucial developmental skills. Parents don't just observe—they become active participants, learning techniques to continue this growth-centered play at home.
What makes Huddlewood different is our dual approach: supporting your child's development while equally supporting you as a parent. Every resource, strategy, and group experience is designed with both of you in mind, transforming potentially overwhelming developmental stages into opportunities for connection and joy.
Welcome to Huddlewood—where families gather to grow, learn, and thrive together. I'm honored to be part of your journey.
Let's grow together.
THe SToRY BeHIND OUr NAMe
In the heart of child development lies a simple truth: growth happens best in spaces where we feel safe, supported, and understood. This is the foundation of Huddleood.
"Huddle"
A huddle is a moment of connection, support, and shared purpose. It represents:
The intimate moments between parent and child
The partnership between therapist and family
The community of parents supporting each other
The safe space where every question matters
"Wood"
Wood symbolizes our approach to growth and development:
Natural and organic, like a child's development journey
Strong yet flexible, adapting to each family's needs
Providing warmth and shelter, like our nurturing environment
Rooted in strength, growing at its own perfect pace
Together, Huddlewood creates a space where families gather to grow, learn, and thrive. Here, we believe that the strongest growth happens through connection, and every step forward is worth celebrating.
Like the strongest trees in a forest that support each other through their root systems, we believe in the power of connection to nurture growth. Here, every question is valid, every concern is heard, and every milestone – no matter how small – is celebrated.
